Meet Dr. Paolo Gresele, Senior Scientific Advisor at Hemostatics

Dr. Paolo Gresele is a leading expert in hemostatic and thrombotic disorders, currently serving as Full Professor of Internal Medicine at the Department of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Perugia, Italy. His research focuses primarily on the role of platelets in hemorrhagic, cardiovascular, and inflammatory diseases, contributing significantly to the understanding of platelet physiology and function in both clinical and experimental contexts.

Dr. Gresele holds prominent positions in several international scientific societies. He is the current President of the Italian Society on Hemostasis and Thrombosis and has previously chaired the Platelet Physiology Scientific and Standardization Committee of the International Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH). Additionally, he serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee for Inherited and Acquired Platelet Function Disorders within the European Hematology Association’s Scientific Working Group (EHA-SWG) on Thrombocytopenias and Platelet Function Disorders.
