Meet Dr. Peter Fenici, Sr Scientific & Research Advisor at Hemostatics

Dr. Peter Fenici is a seasoned medical and scientific leader, serving as Senior Scientific and Research Advisor at Hemostatics. He holds a medical degree with specializations in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, along with a PhD in Innovative Multimodal Imaging in Cardiology. Dr. Fenici has built a distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry, with extensive experience spanning clinical research and commercialization of breakthrough therapies in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, as well as anticoagulation, most notably involving warfarin and novel oral anticoagulants (NOACs). He has also led the development and launch of several first-in-class, first-in-human compounds.

Currently, Dr. Fenici serves as Head of Innovation for Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism Biopharmaceuticals at AstraZeneca’s Global Headquarters in Cambridge, UK. In this role, he actively engages with the global healthcare innovation ecosystem, advising startups and supporting strategic innovation. He is also a Venture Partner at HealthTech180, a healthcare advisory platform focused on technology transfer and venture building.

With a strong entrepreneurial mindset and passion for translational science, Dr. Fenici is dedicated to driving individualized, scalable solutions that promote healthier living and address chronic diseases driven by modifiable lifestyle-related risk factors. His scientific work is reflected in numerous peer-reviewed publications covering cardiology, resuscitation, diabetes, magnetocardiography, real-world evidence, and health economic modeling.
